Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Ascentia program, you will lead the development of cutting-edge, integrated solutions that help users turn aircraft and operational data into predictive insights, actionable recommendations, and improved fleet reliability. You will work closely with team members based in the U.S. and India as part of cross-functional agile teams to ensure high-quality, compliant, and high-performance software solutions.

What You Will Do

Design and build scalable software services, APIs, and user-facing features that power Ascentia's reliability management workflows, dashboards, alerts, and maintenance-focused capabilities. Develop cloud-native applications that deliver a seamless, secure user experience for airlines accessing aircraft health data, prognostic insights, and actionable maintenance recommendations within the Ascentia platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 5 years of professional software development experience; or a related advanced degree and at least 3 years of experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing and shipping production software applications using at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, Python, Go).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with cloud-native architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including deploying and monitoring services.
  • Demonstrated experience applying software engineering best practices, including use of automated testing frameworks, code review tools, version control (e.g., Git), and secure coding standards.
  • Documented experience resolving production issues, performing root-cause analysis, and delivering maintainable fixes within agreed timelines.
  • At least 2 years experience working on agile, cross-functional teams with team members located in multiple time zones.
