Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will be part of the Compass Integrated Services team, working on the Next platform, a brokerage productivity platform that streamlines operational workflows. You will design and deliver features to streamline brokerage operations, including case management, task orchestration, and workflow automation.

What You Will Do

Your main responsibilities will include building and evolving the Next platform, owning frontend architecture and experience, driving workflow and data model enhancements, and owning end-to-end delivery. You will also partner in product discovery, modernize and improve legacy experiences, and act as a technical multiplier.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong emphasis on frontend development using TypeScript and React
  • Deep expertise in frontend architecture, complex state management, and building scalable, reusable UI component libraries
  • Proven experience migrating legacy frontend applications to modern web architectures
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility standards (a11y), and cross-browser compatibility
  • Solid experience integrating complex frontend applications with backend microservices via gRPC
  • Collaborative, full-stack mindset
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
