Role OverviewFoodstream LEARN seeks experienced food educators to provide hands-on food education to New York City students. The role involves creating adaptive learning experiences for neurodiverse students and working with students of varied abilities.
What You Will Do
Deliver cooking, food literacy, nutrition, sustainability, gardening, and sensory learning sessions to students. Prepare and adapt sessions to meet the needs of students with different abilities and access needs.

Requirements
- At least five years of experience teaching or facilitating children and young people
- Substantial experience in food, cooking, nutrition, gardening, sustainability or a closely related field
- Strong group-facilitation and instructional skills
- Experience adapting learning for different ages, abilities and access needs
- Excellent reliability, organization and professional communication
- Regular access to a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting ingredients, equipment and program materials
- Experience supporting multilingual learners, neurodivergent students and students receiving special-education services
- Relevant food-safety, culinary, nutrition, education and CPR/First Aid credentials
