Role OverviewTransLoop is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team in our Chicago office. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will play a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Company’s financial records while supporting a fast-growing, operationally complex business generating over $300 million in annual revenue.
What You Will Do
Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP, own assigned portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules, research and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis, analyze account activity and investigate unusual transactions and variances, support preparation of monthly financial reporting packages and management analyses.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2-5 years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry
- Experience performing month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement relationships
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume operating environment
