Senior Staff Accountant

We're looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in Meridian, Idaho. This role is a great fit for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys digging into the details, solving problems, and finding ways to make processes work better. You'll play an important role in our month end close, reconciliations, job costing, financial reporting, and accounting operations.

What You Will Do

Lead, organize, and participate in the month end close process, prepare and review journal entries, compile and analyze financial information, assist with budgets and forecasts, perform complex Balance Sheet reconciliations, and maintain accurate and auditable supporting documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including job costing or project accounting
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Experience with complex Balance Sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Familiarity with ROU, cash flow, revenue recognition, and external audits
• Experience with ERP or job costing systems such as Business Central, NetSuite, Sage, or similar platforms
• QuickBooks Desktop proficiency required; comparable accounting software will be considered
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a root cause mindset
• Comfortable working through incomplete, inconsistent, or ambiguous information
• Highly organized with strong accountability and time management
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
