Role OverviewThe Systems Storage Administration, Advisor will provide technical oversight of hardware and software systems, with a focus on storage area network administration. The role will involve ensuring system security, implementing and maintaining network standards and guidelines, and monitoring system utilization. The position will also involve developing and maintaining automated environments, reporting on capacity, and proactively planning for additional storage.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating storage to servers, configuring fiber channel switches, and capacity planning for the SAN. They will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining system security and data recovery processes, providing technical support, utilizing automation tools for delivering applications, managing assets, and monitoring performance. Additionally, they will be responsible for troubleshooting network communications, maintaining and documenting SAN cabling plans, and interfacing with users.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storage administration, with a focus on SAN fabric technologies, iSCSI, and Fiber Channel infrastructure. They will also have experience with backup software technologies, such as TSM, Netbackup, or Actifio, and storage hardware technologies, such as HP storage, Actifio Appliance, or Hitachi. The candidate will also be certified in NetApp and Vmware, and have a strong understanding of system security and data recovery processes.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearance
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience or PhD with 3 years relevant experience)
- 4 years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree
- Knowledge of backup software technologies
- Knowledge of storage hardware technologies
- Knowledge of SAN fabric technologies
Benefits
- Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000
- Overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay
