Role Overview

The Senior Structural CADD Designer will develop detailed plans for bridges and transportation structures using industry-leading CADD platforms, collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and provide training and mentorship to CADD staff.

What You Will Do

Lead project and CADD software configuration, develop and deliver training programs, mentor and provide technical support, prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final design documentation, and review drawings and plans for accuracy and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 10-15+ years of CADD design experience, proficiency with MicroStation, GeoPak, and OpenBridge Modeler, and strong knowledge of drafting standards and CADD techniques.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, certification program, or two-year technical degree
  • 10-15+ years of CADD design experience
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, GeoPak, and OpenBridge Modeler
  • Experience preparing plans and design documentation for transportation and bridge projects
  • Strong knowledge of drafting standards, CADD techniques, and engineering documentation practices
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience supporting SCDOT transportation and bridge projects preferred
  • Experience with 3D modeling techniques and software preferred
  • Familiarity with AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or AutoDesk Land Desktop preferred
  • Working knowledge of GIS software preferred
  • Experience training or mentoring junior CADD staff preferred
