We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Structural Substation Engineer to join our team at K&A Power Group. What You Will Do

Lead and support structural design efforts for high-voltage electrical substations (typically 12kV–500kV). Perform structural steel design, including bus support structures, equipment stands, platforms, and connection details. Develop concrete foundation designs for transformers, breakers, control buildings, steel structures, and other substation components.

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Structural Substation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in substation design, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, and a Professional Engineer (PE) license—California preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on substation design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license—California preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with structural steel design, concrete/foundation design, and analysis software (e.g., PLS-CADD/POLE, STAAD, SAP2000, RISA, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI, NESC)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
