Role OverviewHDR is seeking a Senior Substation Project Engineer to join our Power sector, helping shape how electricity is generated, transmitted, and delivered. This role involves coordinating design engineers within a multidiscipline team and establishing client relations. The position is based in multiple Washington state locations.
What You Will Do
Coordinate the work of design engineers with a multidiscipline team throughout project development. Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings. Assume technical lead within a project execution team and conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions. Direct the activities of other engineering professionals and mentor staff.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and a minimum of 10 years of substation design experience. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years of experience
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)
