Role Overview

This is a hybrid role combining hands-on switching and network support with desktop/endpoint administration. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the stack — from configuring VLANs and port security on Cisco switches to imaging endpoints and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 clients — while delivering responsive, professional customer support to end users.

What You Will Do

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco switches running IOS-XE and NX-OS, implement and manage port security, support enterprise network fundamentals, support and help maintain VDI / thin-client infrastructure, perform endpoint imaging and deployment, administer Windows 10 and Windows 11 endpoints, execute patch management, and use CLI and administrative tooling.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
  • 10 years of system administration experience
  • Active TS/SCI w/Poly
  • 3–5 years of combined experience in network administration
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals
  • Understanding port security concepts and remediation
  • 5+ years experience administering the customer’s classified VDI / thin-client desktop platform
  • 5+ years experience Windows 10 and/or Windows 11 administration and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with PXE-based imaging/deployment
  • Proficiency with PuTTY, PowerShell, and Windows command-line tools
  • Active Directory user/group administration experience
  • Understanding of patch management processes and vulnerability remediation (IAVA-driven)
  • Strong customer service orientation and clear written/verbal communication
  • Experience with endpoint management platforms (SCCM/MECM, BigFix)
  • Familiarity with security baselines and STIG compliance
  • Exposure to ticketing/ITSM systems JIRA
  • Basic firewall awareness and coordination experience (e.g., Cisco Firepower/ASA)
  • Familiarity with remote administration tools
  • Understanding of structured cabling, patch panels, and physical connectivity
  • Basic scripting/automation for repetitive administrative tasks
