Role OverviewThis is a hybrid role combining hands-on switching and network support with desktop/endpoint administration. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the stack — from configuring VLANs and port security on Cisco switches to imaging endpoints and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 clients — while delivering responsive, professional customer support to end users.
What You Will Do
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco switches running IOS-XE and NX-OS, implement and manage port security, support enterprise network fundamentals, support and help maintain VDI / thin-client infrastructure, perform endpoint imaging and deployment, administer Windows 10 and Windows 11 endpoints, execute patch management, and use CLI and administrative tooling.

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
- 10 years of system administration experience
- Active TS/SCI w/Poly
- 3–5 years of combined experience in network administration
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals
- Understanding port security concepts and remediation
- 5+ years experience administering the customer’s classified VDI / thin-client desktop platform
- 5+ years experience Windows 10 and/or Windows 11 administration and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with PXE-based imaging/deployment
- Proficiency with PuTTY, PowerShell, and Windows command-line tools
- Active Directory user/group administration experience
- Understanding of patch management processes and vulnerability remediation (IAVA-driven)
- Strong customer service orientation and clear written/verbal communication
- Experience with endpoint management platforms (SCCM/MECM, BigFix)
- Familiarity with security baselines and STIG compliance
- Exposure to ticketing/ITSM systems JIRA
- Basic firewall awareness and coordination experience (e.g., Cisco Firepower/ASA)
- Familiarity with remote administration tools
- Understanding of structured cabling, patch panels, and physical connectivity
- Basic scripting/automation for repetitive administrative tasks
