Job Description
V-Soft Consulting is hiring a Senior Systems Analyst to work on a premier client project. The role involves reviewing mainframe IMS data structures, collaborating with data engineers, and supporting the design of new reporting and extract workflows. The candidate should have experience working in a medium to large IT environment, gathering and documenting requirements, and working with cloud data platforms.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role
  • 3+ years of experience in gathering and documenting requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar)
  • 2+ years of experience in interpreting data models, data dictionaries, and technical documentation
  • 2+ years of experience in database structures and theories
  • 2+ years of experience in enterprise information management processes and methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience in working in fast-paced and ever-changing environments
  • 2+ years of experience in interpersonal relationships
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience with mainframe systems (IMS, COBOL files, JCL, batch processes)
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in data focused projects, like moving from Legacy to newer systems
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data processing, computer science, business administration, or a related field
