Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to drive the technical design, system integration, and deployment of mission operations services supporting NOAA's Space Weather Observations Mission Operations Services (SWO-MOS) program. This critical role bridges architectural concepts with hands-on technical deployment, focusing heavily on integrating core satellite Command and Control (C2) systems, mission management frameworks, and secure hybrid cloud architectures.

What You Will Do

Lead the integration and configuration of core SWO-MOS C2 platforms, collaborate with aerospace specialists to implement and validate orbital mechanics and flight dynamics tracking loops, design, configure, and maintain secure hybrid cloud environments, deploy mission-critical ground software applications, and manage high-throughput networking configurations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive engineering experience in satellite ground systems, defense, or aerospace communications infrastructure
• Direct technical familiarity or professional hands-on exposure integrating OS/COMET C2 architectures or working within NASA's General Mission Analysis Tool (GMAT) suite for flight dynamics execution
• Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud computing technologies, advanced networking configurations, complex data management architectures, and automated infrastructure orchestration
• Strong foundational knowledge of systems engineering principles, technical problem-solving, and managing full-lifecycle requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a strictly related technical field
