Senior Systems Engineer

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will serve as a technical advisor responsible for a broad program involving development, budgeting, scheduling, project management assistance, and installation and integration of systems. You will oversee research, design, development, manufacturing, testing, installation, integration, sustainment, operation, and maintenance of diverse software, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and systems.

What You Will Do

Your duties will include planning and overseeing research, design, development, manufacturing, testing, installation, integration, sustainment, operation, and maintenance of diverse software, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and systems. You will also perform in a supervisor role for engineers involved in the development, testing, integration, and sustainment of specialized and diverse software, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment, and systems.

This position requires a strong background in mission system sustainment, including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), mission system sparing analysis and plans, mission system obsolescence analysis and plans, and tech refresh analysis and planning for more significant engineering upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution
• eight (8) years of related engineering experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering
• Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve complex problems in the specialty area
• Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools
• Well-developed leadership skills
• Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems from a broad prospective
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Planning/organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines
