Role Overview

The Senior Technical Support Specialist will perform district or school-based duties providing technical assistance with the installation and maintenance of hardware, software, network communication, and workstations. Employees in this classification function at an operational capacity and perform a variety of duties including troubleshooting, technical support, training functions, server and database maintenance, and web page maintenance and design.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining district-approved site-based networks, workstations, peripherals, and databases. The Specialist will provide technical support for computer hardware and software applications, assist users with district-approved software, and implement the installation, relocation, and/or modifications of district-approved workstations and monitors.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a closely related field, and a minimum of one year of related experience. The Specialist will be responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, attending training to ensure skill level in various technologies, and maintaining accurate information as part of their job responsibilities.
