Role OverviewHDR is an employee-owned firm seeking a Senior Technology Designer to join its Building Engineering Services Group. This role focuses on designing critical low-voltage technology infrastructure for projects including high-performance data centers and dynamic commercial environments, supporting technological advancement, sustainability, and human experience.
What You Will Do
Evaluate, select, and apply state-of-the-art low voltage technology systems, including structured cabling, outside plant, and fiber optic systems. You will design and specify low voltage technology systems, take responsibility for complete construction documents, write specifications, and work directly with owners as part of the project team. You may also assist other designers and conduct QA/QC on their work.

This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in low-voltage system design and an RCDD certification. Candidates with data center design experience are preferred. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of 10 years experience in low-voltage system design
- RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with MS Project, MS Visio, Autodesk, SpecsIntact
