Job Description
As a Senior Traffic Engineer at HDR, you will lead traffic engineering design, corridor traffic analysis, and traffic operations efforts for municipal, transit, and infrastructure projects, providing technical oversight and direction for traffic signal, ITS, roadway, MOT/TCP, and signal timing deliverables, and supporting the growth of the local traffic engineering practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of experience in ITS and traffic engineering for urban and rural highways, major and minor interchanges and intersections
  • Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
  • Knowledge of regulations of state and federal transportation agencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience using HCS, CORSIM, Synchro/SIM Traffic and other software packages
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to work in a team environment
