Role OverviewAs a Senior Traffic Engineer at HDR, you will provide design oversight for roadway, lighting, signing, pavement marking, traffic signals, and traffic management system design plans. You will assist in providing oversight of traffic control and sequencing plans throughout the construction phase of the project. You will serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization, resolving problems of greater scope and complexity while planning and developing projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs.

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include providing design oversight, assisting in providing oversight of traffic control and sequencing plans, serving as a technical expert, organizing and supervising work, and serving as a project manager on larger projects.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in ITS and traffic engineering
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
- Knowledge of regulations of state and federal transportation agencies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience using HCS, CORSIM, Synchro/SIM Traffic and other software packages
- Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to work in a team environment
