Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Modeler to join their team supporting Florida's Turnpike Enterprise. This role involves applying travel demand modeling to develop high-impact toll road projects. The position requires the development and maintenance of model code, utilization of software such as Visum, TransCAD, and R, and analysis of travel demand data to inform future forecasts and model validation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning or related field
8 plus years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Knowledge and experience with the principles, practices, and objectives of transportation planning applications, specifically the 4-Step process of travel demand modeling, Activity-Based Models, micro-simulation, and dynamic traffic assignment
Programming experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL, C++ (preferred), Python (preferred), Rscript (preferred), JAVA
Knowledge and experience with travel demand modeling software such as Cube, TransCAD, TRANSIMS, and Visum
Knowledge and experience with choice models, development, and application to travel demand, use of econometrics in estimating demand models from survey data
Knowledge and experience with GIS and database analysis
Utilization and experience with advanced techniques with modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of planning sciences
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning or related field
