Role Overview

The Senior Vice President will join Brookfield's Credit Investment Specialist team in New York as a product specialist focused on fundraising and business development for Brookfield's Credit Platform broadly. This is a client-facing role that involves being an expert on all aspects of Brookfield's Credit fund offerings with a heavy emphasis on private wealth investors and an expectation of being able to broaden the scope to include institutional investors and investment consultants across the U.S. and Europe.

What You Will Do

The role requires the ability to earn the trust of portfolio managers that the specialist has the technical capability to understand and articulate the nuances and complexities of the credit portfolios and underlying investments and the ability to dissect investment opportunities at a technical level. The role will also work closely with the Investment Solutions Group to collaborate on bespoke portfolio construction based on client needs and our ability to provide unique solutions across the platform.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of total professional and technical experience in any of the following disciplines within credit: investing/asset management, structuring, investment banking, rating agency, and corporate development.
  • Familiarity with RIA and broker channel distribution platforms and unique needs as well as familiarity with regulatory capital frameworks across insurance and pension clients.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with credit portfolio managers and investors
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
