Job Description
Requisition No: 857961. The State of Florida Department of Education is seeking a Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to provide independent professional vocational rehabilitation counseling to individuals with disabilities. The selected candidate will work in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation in Miami and will be responsible for providing services to internal and external customers, including authorizing, coordinating, and negotiating services leading to successful employment outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to vocational rehabilitation, psychology, disability studies, business administration, human resources, or special education.
  • 2-3 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Doctoral) in a field related to vocational rehabilitation, law, psychology, disability studies, business administration, human resources, or special education.
  • Experience in direct work with individuals with disabilities, advocacy activities, human resources, recruitment, supervising employees, training, or other activities that provide experience in competitive integrated employment environments.
