Senior Web Communications Specialist

The Senior Web Communications Specialist establishes and maintains a strategic, enterprise-level support structure for marketing and communications web projects. The position implements a comprehensive communications program to include website content, website content governance and marketing strategies for the Texas A&M College of Engineering (COE) and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES).

What You Will Do

Writes, edits and publishes engaging and cohesive content for the COE and TEES websites. Interprets campaign or project analytics to inform future tactics. Assists with new content creation for major website redesigns managed by Engineering Communications.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field and five years of communications and/or marketing experience. Experience writing for the web with an emphasis on content strategy and optimizing content for search engines (SEO) is helpful.

• Working knowledge of federal, state and university accessibility standards
• Technical expertise in a variety of online platforms and solutions, including Cascade, WordPress, LiveWhale, Siteimprove, and others closely tied to website strategy
