Role OverviewThe Service Maintenance Manager is responsible for all physical operations of the community, including preservation and maintenance of the asset, preparation of market-ready homes, and providing ongoing service to residents. This role requires leadership, mentoring, and direction to enhance the skills of employees and foster a collaborative work environment. The position involves hands-on work duties, including training maintenance team members and overseeing cleaning, painting, and maintenance.
What You Will Do
The Service Maintenance Manager will provide direction, guidance, and supervision to maintenance team members and vendors/contractors. They will manage and participate in the completion of routine and preventive maintenance work orders, review completed work orders, and oversee cleaning, painting, and maintenance. The role also involves managing vendors' service contracts, participating in financial reviews, and completing budgeted capital improvements.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of multi-family type operational management experience
- Leadership skills
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Yardi or other industry software experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Federal Fair Housing Laws & Guidelines
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Bilingual (a plus)
- One or more industry-Trade certifications/Degrees (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC, ETC)
- Willingness to get any required certification(s) within 6 months of hiring
