Job Description
Service Manager oversees maintenance tasks, leads the service team, and creates excellent public relations for the corporation and community. Responsible for managing physical operations, communication with team members, and ensuring timely response to requests. Partner with vendors and outside contractors to review and develop renovation plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as Service/Maintenance Manager or Supervisor
  • Experience in working independently and managing assigned work while overseeing a team
  • General education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • HVAC, EPA and CPO certifications are required
  • Experience in electrical and plumbing to diagnose and resolve associated issues
  • Past experience with carpentry and sheetrock
  • Achieve Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
  • Participate in training in order to comply with new or existing laws
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate team members
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities, workflow and delegate tasks
  • Be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively on an independent basis
  • Excellent human relation skills: tenant interaction is required
  • Must be willing and able to learn new maintenance technologies
