Role OverviewThe primary function of the Service Technician is to perform superior quality repairs to customer equipment and make recommendations for further services as determined by the Technician during service. This is a physically demanding position that requires standing for six to eight hours per shift, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and feeling. The Service Technician will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
What You Will Do
The Service Technician will receive repair order assignments from the Shop Foreman, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair trailer bodies, systems, and components, perform preventative maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers, and ensure that trailers meet the U.S. DOT safety requirements.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years' experience in medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance, fabrication and welding ability, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

- Driver's license and clean driving record

- Ability to operate power and hand tools and other equipment safely
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information
