Role OverviewThe Fabrication Mechanic is responsible for coordinating and performing the layout, setup, and operation of fabrication equipment to manufacture high-quality metal components in accordance with engineering drawings, design specifications, and production schedules.
What You Will Do
Fabricate, assemble, and modify metal components and parts according to blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications. Set up, operate, and safely use fabrication and machining equipment to produce high-quality parts within required tolerances.

Requirements
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles, and volume
- Ability to apply a commonsense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes including cutting, forming, drilling, punching, and basic machining.
- Ability to accurately measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
