Role OverviewPerform arc or acetylene welding of various parts, making adjustments to suit metal thickness, depth of penetration, or size of piece. Select filler rods to suit metal using care in puddling, avoiding pinholes, oxidation, brittleness, burning, or excessive heat. Weld dissimilar metals such as stainless steel and aluminum and perform various brazing.
What You Will Do
Perform welding on iron and aluminum castings, clean, grind, drill, patch, sandblast, and shotblast castings using hand and power tools. Operate fork truck, work from ladders or scaffolding, and fabricate welding fixtures as directed.
Why It Might Be a Fit
