Shelter Client Care and Operations Manager

The Shelter Client Care and Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the shelter, creating a safe and welcoming environment for clients. This individual supervises the Client Care team, approves schedules, and reviews timesheets for payroll. They also serve as a back-up for the Manager of Housing and Supportive services and/or Shelter Director in their absence.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include providing direct supervision to Client Care staff, overseeing kitchen operations, managing medication room operations, and coordinating seasonal overflow. The Shelter Client Care and Operations Manager also works with the Client Care Supervisors on staff schedules, ensures staff coverage for all shifts, and sends incident reports to leadership and county monitor as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human services (or related work experience equal to educational degree)
• 2-year related experience with supervising shelter operations and direct care staff
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (highly preferred)
• Knowledge of HMIS and Apricot 360 (preferred)
• Knowledge and experience in administering CPR and minor first aid
• Microsoft Office suite proficiency
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
• Advocate for homeless population
