Role OverviewThe Shelter Specialist is responsible for maintaining program operations and services for participants on site, providing basic needs, services, or de-escalating negative participant interactions, and maintaining site safety and access control.
What You Will Do
The Shelter Specialist will perform various assigned tasks, including keeping facilities clean and organized, conducting visual inspections, learning and acting upon new information, and responding to crisis situations.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Documented experience in homeless services (or related experience)
- Basic Microsoft Office experience

- Understanding of basic conflict resolution
- Commitment to keeping client information confidential
- Ability and willingness to understand and fully comply with mandatory reporting requirements and laws pertaining to vulnerable adults and children
