Role OverviewWe are hiring a Shelving & Racking Technician to join our team at BT Retail Solutions. As a technician, you will work in a team environment, installing, moving, and replacing steel racking/cantilevers, assembling storage shelving, and ensuring all safety policies are followed.
What You Will Do
Your main responsibilities will include installing, moving, and replacing steel racking/cantilevers, assembling storage shelving, and assisting with other jobs when not performing racking projects.
Why It Might Be a Fit
We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual with experience in racking installation and demo, who can work days, nights, and weekends as scheduled, and is able to travel within their local state and surrounding states.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Available to travel within local state and surrounding states
- Able to read diagrams (e.g., blueprints and RIGs)
- Mechanically inclined/jack-of-all-trades, or experience with racking installation and demo
- Skilled with hand tools, cordless power tools, and mechanical assembly tools for handling materials and fasteners
- Able to confirm accuracy and job quality using established mechanical and safety standards
- Able to (or willing/able to learn to) operate order pickers, forklifts, and scissor lifts
- Comfortable working on a lift up to 20 feet off the ground
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
