Job Description
Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring teams of Mental Health Specialists deliver exceptional direct care services in a house or on a unit. The role involves creating a positive, therapeutic culture, managing logistical functions, and supporting the work of MHS. The Supervisor is also responsible for creating a living environment that residents evaluate positively and ensuring the implementation of the agency's Behavioral Management Plan with fidelity.

Requirements

  • Ensure the provision of compassionate, culturally sensitive services
  • Create a culture of care which discourages the use of protective holds and escorts
  • Ensure agency's Behavioral Management Plan is implemented with fidelity by the MHS they supervise
  • Actively participate in clinical staffings and communicate fully regarding the delivery of treatment services to the house or unit residents
  • Provide direction and supervision to Mental Health Specialists
  • Maintain the house or unit finances for allowances, haircuts, and activities
