Role OverviewThe Estimator formulates outlines of itemized work descriptions by computing time, engineering, direct costs, and labor estimates for products and projects to develop total project cost.
What You Will Do
Develop detailed labor and material estimates for shipyard/shop work and repairs, manage job book files, generate purchase orders, and track on-going work and repairs.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be familiar with working in the ship repair industry, have excellent analytical and math skills, and be able to work independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum three (3) years of experience in budget/planning/estimating within a shipyard environment.
- Knowledge of AutoCad is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Project) etc.
- Understanding of marine classification society rules, USCG, and regulatory requirements.
