Job Description
The Shop Manager - Trucks and Equipment oversees the operation, maintenance, and administration of ground support equipment used in airport operations, leading a team of technicians and administrative staff.
Requirements
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ground support and equipment department
Manage and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and operation of ground support equipment
Lead, train, and supervise a team of ground support staff and technicians
Ensure compliance with airport safety standards, regulations, and operational protocols
Collaborate with other airport departments and airlines to provide seamless ground support services
Monitor and control departmental budgets and expenses
Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs for ground equipment
Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for ground support equipment
Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and operations for quality assurance
Respond to and resolve operational issues and emergencies promptly
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with equipment vendors and service providers
Prepare and present reports on departmental performance, challenges, and progress
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in ground support operations
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the department
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
