Role OverviewThe Shop Manager will lead a team of tractor and trailer technicians, overseeing day-to-day shop operations, ensuring fleet safety and compliance, and serving as a technical resource. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows trucks inside and out and is passionate about developing the technicians around them.
What You Will Do
The Shop Manager will coach, mentor, and train technicians to build technical skills, reinforce safety standards, and support their professional growth. They will also oversee daily shop operations, inspect and evaluate completed work, manage parts and tool inventory, and perform skilled repair and maintenance operations as needed.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience in a truck/trailer maintenance shop, including supervisory or lead technician experience, and demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and training technicians. They will also be certified in Brake Systems and AC Systems, and have a valid Class A CDL in the state of residence.
