Role OverviewThe Shop Mechanic diagnoses and repairs dump trucks and tractor-trailers, performing routine service, and keeping records of work done. Day-to-day duties include analyzing trucks to determine what is wrong in unique circumstances and using testing equipment to ensure vehicles are safe to drive.
What You Will Do
Diagnose and repair dump trucks and tractor-trailers, inspect vehicles, perform routine service, and maintain accurate records of work done.

Must have a valid driver's license and clean MVR, ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects, and ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license

- Certificate from college or technical school
- Twelve months related experience and/or training
- Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
- Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to see and hear well (naturally or with correction)
