Role OverviewThe Shop Service Technician - Level 1 is accountable for assembling, testing, and servicing customized mechanical, hydraulic, electro-mechanical / hydraulic, and electrical components and assemblies in accordance with prescribed drawings. He/she will perform accurate and efficient complex maintenance and installation of all phases of mechanical equipment and serve as a quality control point for the work of less senior maintenance mechanics.
What You Will Do
Specific responsibilities include reading and following engineering drawings, Bills of Material, and technical specifications, assembling, testing, and servicing systems and components, performing general mechanical tasks, maintaining records, fabricating and installing high-pressure tubing, monitoring equipment functioning, repairing and maintaining machinery, and providing advice and guidance to less senior maintenance mechanics.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical processes/procedures, and be able to troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical circuits. Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is a plus.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of technical trade school preferred
- Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus
