Role OverviewThe Shop Service Technician will perform in-shop service calls and repairs to client work trucks and equipment. They will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various makes and models of equipment, including cranes, welders, and compressors. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized shop bay, adhering to safety protocols, and providing excellent customer service.
What You Will Do
Perform services and repairs in the shop, diagnose and repair equipment without the use of vehicle lifts, maintain accurate daily timekeeping and thorough technician notes, and perform DOT inspections on company and/or client vehicles and equipment.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be safety conscious with an excellent safety record
- Strong working knowledge of truck equipment: hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics
- Knowledge of DOT inspection requirements and ability to perform DOT inspections on vehicles and equipment
- Ability to work as a team, communicate effectively, and take ownership of assigned areas and tasks
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a shop bay without vehicle lifts, including kneeling, bending, and reaching to access components
- Must be willing and able to work overtime, and possibly weekends if necessary
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs
