Job Description
As a cook for Silver Dollar City, you may perform a wide range of duties including, but not limited to, cooking to order, plating entrées, ensuring kitchen cleanliness, prepping and cooking for our restaurants. Our cooks must be comfortable working in small areas and demonstrate a friendly, caring attitude.

Requirements

  • Read menu to estimate food requirements and order food from supplier or procure food from storage.
  • Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe to prepare salads, sauces and desserts.
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, vegetables and other foods.
  • Add seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking.
  • Observe and test foods being cooked to order or in batch cooking.
  • Portion food on serving plates, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings to fill orders.
