Role OverviewThe Site Civil Pre-construction Engineer is a licensed Professional Engineer responsible for sealing and taking engineering responsibility for substation site design deliverables. This role provides technical oversight, client-facing leadership, and serves as a licensed professional of record on assigned projects.
What You Will Do
Serve as engineer of record on substation site design projects, lead project-level civil engineering efforts, perform and review complex engineering analyses, and coordinate with project managers and clients.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 4 years of civil site design experience with demonstrated experience in substation or heavy industrial development
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state
- Comprehensive knowledge of substation civil site design and engineering standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and related engineering software
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements including stormwater, wetlands, and land use permitting
- Proven ability to lead design teams and manage multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and regulatory agency interaction
- Demonstrated ability to develop project scope, schedules, and fee estimates
- Valid driver's license
