Job Description
Medal is hiring a Site Reliability / Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. The role involves owning reliability across their GCP infrastructure, leading incident response, and scaling databases at a massive scale.

Requirements

  • Great judgment and ability to distinguish between a durable, sustainable fix vs. a patch that buys you a week
  • Deep, hands-on experience scaling and sharding relational databases in production environments
  • Fluency in Terraform and experience with infrastructure-as-code at scale
  • Experience with Elasticsearch in production and ability to keep a cluster healthy
  • Strong incident response instincts and excellent communication skills
  • Experience with GitHub Actions in a production CI/CD environment
