Role Overview

Mastercard Digital Enablement Services (MDES) is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to help ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our digital payment platforms. This role partners with Software Engineering, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to improve system health, automate operational processes, and support highly available services.

What You Will Do

Support the reliability, availability, and performance of production applications and services. Implement and maintain observability solutions, including monitoring, dashboards, alerts, logs, and metrics. Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, and performance-related issues.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting cloud-based applications, web applications, or distributed systems.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, Bash, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues and participating in incident resolution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative, ownership, and a continuous learning mindset.
