Job Description
The Site Safety & Environmental Specialist is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving site-level health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs across active construction and operational locations. This role serves as the primary on-site HSE representative, providing hands-on support to project teams, subcontractors, and supervisors to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company standards.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in construction safety, site safety, or environmental compliance
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and applicable environmental regulations
  • Strong understanding of construction safety and environmental compliance requirements
  • Ability to recognize hazards, assess risk, and recommend practical controls
  • Effective communication and coaching skills for field-based environments
  • Working knowledge of incident investigation and corrective action tracking
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital inspection/reporting tools
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of EHS Management Systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 preferred)
  • OSHA 30‐Hour Construction required
  • Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) or equivalent (preferred)
  • First Aid / CPR / AED (required or ability to obtain)
  • Environmental compliance or stormwater certification (preferred)
