Skilled Nursing Cook

Responsible for preparing food in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. In the absence of the Food Service Director/Executive Chef, the Skilled Nursing Cook is responsible for all functions of the kitchen.

What You Will Do

Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes, special diet orders, and therapeutic diets. Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of food experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
• ServSafe certified
• Allergen certified (within six months of hire)
• Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
