Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Faculty Group Practice Sleep Technologist (40).
In this role, the successful candidate under general supervision of the Director will show expertise in performing all aspects of Polysomnography for both clinical and research patients. The sleep technologist should be able to manage and monitor protocol documentation, interface with the GCRC and various researchers, prepare quarterly reports on protocol activity, monitor and order all lab supplies and perform other duties as assigned. This position requires good judgment, and a professional manner and appearance in interactions with all patients. The sleep technologist will score studies, train assistant sleep technologists in laboratory procedures and general laboratory practices, as well as emergency procedures, and other duties as defined in the laboratory manual.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- NYS OP License and current registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) OR Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) OR Respiratory Therapy Technician competent to perform Polysomnographic Technology services, required.
- At least 2 years’ experience in Polysomnography or a related field, required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- RPSGT, highly preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish or Russian, highly preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $89,118.00 – $89,218.33 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
