Job Description
The Slitting Line Assistant is responsible for supporting the Operator to ensure optimal productivity, quality, and yield on the slitting line, and may substitute for the Operator when needed.

Requirements

  • Material Handling: Collect and move material to and from the machine efficiently
  • Instruction Adherence: Follow production instructions provided by the paired Operator
  • System Logging: Log into Steel II and accurately enter downtime codes as required
  • Setup Verification: Assist in verifying machine setups throughout the production process
  • Quality Checks: Periodically measure dimensions with a measuring tape to ensure accuracy
  • Skill Development: Engage in continuous training to become a proficient Operator, adhering to established procedures
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management
