Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing small engines used in outdoor power equipment, providing support to customers, and maintaining detailed service documentation.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical issues in small engine-powered equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburettor cleanings
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Document service work performed and ensure accurate records are kept for each job
  • Ensure all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates at optimal performance
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols
  • Stay current with new small engine technologies and repair methods
