Job Description
As a Smelter Diagnostic Mechanic I at Freeport-McMoRan, you will perform diagnostic, replacement, and repairs to various systems, including mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance, train and mentor other employees, and operate equipment such as forklifts and cranes. This role requires two years of experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Two years' experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts
  • Completed academic and practical competencies required
  • Ability to apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures and applicable safety standards
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • Ability to read blueprints
