Job Description
The Department of Human Services is seeking a Social Services Career Trainee to receive on-the-job training for a period of six to twelve months. This role involves assisting customers seeking public assistance services in Lincolnwood, IL, and managing a caseload of temporary assistance to needy families (TANF) including earned income cases and medical assistance. The trainee will also evaluate client needs, and receive training in recordkeeping.

Requirements

  • Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in social science.
  • Ability to speak, read and write Vietnamese at a colloquial skill level.
