Role OverviewWe are seeking a Social Worker to support eligible formerly homeless clients living in Permanent Supportive Housing to promote well-being and stability. The Social Worker will be part of a specialized team working across four SRO sites in The Bronx and Brooklyn.
What You Will Do
Conduct initial assessments, manage a caseload of clients, develop and facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational group programming, and provide on-call crisis intervention support.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Social Work, experience working with adults with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder and/or homeless populations, and familiarity with behavioral health treatment approaches and resources.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Social Work
- LMSW licensure within 1 year of hire
- Minimum 2 years experience with adults with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder and/or homeless populations
- Familiarity with behavioral health treatment approaches and resources, including harm-reduction models
