Role OverviewJoin Nucor Business Technology as a Software Architect to set the technical direction for manufacturing software. This hands-on architect role involves owning solution design, architecture, and software development end-to-end. You'll lead the architecture of Nucor's manufacturing execution systems (MES) and their modernization alongside the ERP landscape. You'll define patterns, standards, and guardrails for the team to build against, make technology-selection calls, and partner with stakeholders to turn operational complexity into reliable systems.
What You Will Do
As a Software Architect, you'll lead the architecture of Nucor's manufacturing execution systems (MES) and their modernization alongside the ERP landscape. You'll define the patterns, standards, and guardrails the team builds against, make the build-versus-buy and technology-selection calls, and partner closely with mill-embedded engineers, product, and enterprise stakeholders to turn real operational complexity into reliable, high-quality systems.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This is a full-time, permanent position based at the NBT office in Dallas, TX. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
