Role OverviewThe EKS Management Plane team is responsible for the EKS API and the services behind it that take a customer's intent and turn it into a running, upgradeable, recoverable Kubernetes cluster. As a Software Development Engineer, you will work on cluster lifecycle, availability, and insights, building and improving state machines and orchestration workflows, developing health-detection systems, and contributing to resilience capabilities.
What You Will Do
You will build and improve state machines and orchestration workflows, develop health-detection systems, contribute to resilience capabilities, and collaborate with experienced engineers across EKS to solve problems that span multiple services and teams.

Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
